As of the 25th of July 2018, I am officially a graduate of King’s College London, with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. It has been a challenging three years, full of both tears and laughter, and I have learnt so much but I am ultimately ready to enter the world of work full-time and put everything I have learnt in practice.
The Graduation Ceremony itself was held at the Barbican Centre in Central London and lasted a total of 1 hour 45 minutes, although my time on stage was a brief 15 seconds. There were speeches from fellow students as well as recent Graduates but the majority of time was spent celebrating the accomplishments of the newly Graduates. It seems surreal that three years of hard work were condensed into a mere 15 seconds and I am still annoyed at the fact that I spent three years working hard to graduate in tangerine (I mean, what colour dress are you supposed to wear with tangerine?!) but ultimately I had a lovely day and felt overwhelmed by the love and support from my family and friends. It was definitely weird saying goodbye to all my course-mates since everyone will be returning home now that University has finished but hopefully I will see them again shortly.
In my Summer Bucket-List , published at the start of this Summer, I mentioned how I wanted to have a Graduation Photoshoot inspired by Morgan Yates’ Graduation Photos to celebrate my accomplishments. Since Grace and I graduated on different days and therefore would be unable to take photos together on the day in our gowns, we thought it would be a good alternative to have a Photoshoot in our garden in our Graduation dresses. My dress and shoes are both from New Look but I am unable to locate them on their website. Grace’s dress and shoes are from…
What did you wear to your Graduation? What colour did you graduate in?
