Whether you have a boyfriend or girlfriend or whether you are single and ready to mingle, summer is the perfect time to explore new places and try new activities. It gets darker later so you can stay out for longer and the temperature is warm enough that you can stand to be outside for hours at a time, or at least in the UK it is. Alex, who I am collaborating with on this post, lives in Australia where it is approaching Winter and therefore has written about 5 Winter Date Ideas, so that no matter where you live in the world, we have at least one date idea for you.
Go To A Rooftop Bar
Whether it is for a first date or for a catch-up with friends, rooftops bars are perfect. Gone are the days of drinks with friends in dingy pubs, rooftop bars are the perfect balance of alcohol, sunshine and aesthetically pleasing settings. There are countless rooftop bars in London – one of my favourites being the Queen Elizabeth Roof Gardens Bar in South Bank.
Have a Game of Mini Golf
If your childhood was anything like mine, then days out consisted either of the cinema, bowling or mini golf. But Mini Golf is no longer just a kid’s game, in fact there are now bars alongside a Mini Golf Course, so you can drink and play at the same time. I would recommend limiting the celebration drinks till after the game though depending on who you are playing with!
Watch a Movie in an Outdoor Cinema
This was featured on my Summer Bucket-list because the idea of outdoor cinemas have always intrigued me and with a film being shown almost every day in London, I no longer have an excuse not to see what all the fuss is about. You can curl up with a blanket and a loved one for a romance movie or sing-a-long with your closest friends and a group of strangers in front of a musical, the choice is yours.
Explore Somewhere New via Bike
Faster than walking but more economically friendly than driving, biking is the perfect way to explore somewhere new. You can stop and start as often as you like and do not need to worry about finding a parking spot as long as you have a padlock with which to chain your bike to whilst you trial cute cafes.
Visit a Botanical Garden
With Spring coming to an end later this month, most flowers are either starting to bloom or finishing blooming, meaning it is the ideal time to visit a botanical garden. Whether you are an aspiring photographer or just like looking at pretty flowers, there is something for everyone and most gardens have a cafe where you can sit with a slice of cake and read a book.

Thank you! At first I was struggling for ideas but then I had such a hard time narrowing it down to just 5. I wanted ones that were cheap but still Instagrammable haha xx
