22 Things to Do Before 22

When I look back at 2017, I honestly see one of the best but most difficult years of my life. It was one of the best years in that I was constantly pushing myself to be and do better, but also one of the most difficult in that I hit rock-bottom a few more times that I would have liked. 2017 was a year of growth for me and 2018 is going to be the year I flower. Therefore, I wanted to write a list of 22 things to do before I turn 22 next year, in an attempt to keep pushing myself to be and do better than yesterday.

1. Get a second helix piercing
2. Meet my internet best friend
3. Visit Amsterdam
4. Visit Copenhagen
5. Visit Ireland
6. Visit Kew Gardens, London
7. Learn how to play 3 songs on guitar
8. Learn how to sign 10 basic phrases in BSL
9. Learn how to use the manual settings on my digital camera
10. Complete an online course in something new
11. Complete a Hendrix climb (V3-V5)
12. Walk over the O2 Arena
13. Visit Prime Meridian – where East meets West
14. Walk along the Tower Bridge glass walkway
15. Take a kickboxing or boxing class
16. Have a spa day
17. Have a picnic in Hyde Park
18. Dip-Dye my hair purple
19. Go to a Demi Lovato concert
20. Go indoor skydiving
21. Take graduation photos (inspired by Morgan Yates’)
22. Graduate

What are you hoping to accomplish in 2018?

I also wrote a Senior Year Bucket List at the start of this academic year that you should check out.

    • Totally unplanned but 2 other people uploaded similar ones the day I uploaded mine! I was inspired by my friend’s bucket list and never knew that this was an actual thing until I started doing research. xx

    • Literally do not understand how I have never had one before but then I remember I’m socially anxious and I work in a job that doesn’t allow long nails or nail polish haha. xx

      • The place I took classes at was very receptive to beginners and the instructors made sure to design the lessons according to that. If you feel too winded they encourage you to take breaks and get water. I consider myself moderately fit (the most I workout is 3× a weekand sometimes Im so busy I dont workout at all). It was definitely a lot of cardio (it was a room filled with heavy bags and each student has their own). So I say go for it and don’t worry about your fitness level! Everyone starts somewhere. I was so worried it would be mostly buff dudes but there were many people like me 🙂
